Your period for the month of July isn't late and you say you used protection, so I wouldn't be too stressed out about it. The fact that you were protected should give you some reassurance. A little bit of brown discharge is absolutely normal- sometimes during sex a little bit of old blood can come down because of the actual act of sex. Try not to stress out, you have enough on your shoulders right now. Just be patient, keep yourself busy, and wait for your period to arrive.
