If you are interested in taking your pills continuously (skipping the "sugar pills"), it is possible, but I would recommend a quick call to your doctor's nurse. Some birth control pills, and some situations, are OK to do this with, but since we do not know your health history, I would be remiss to suggest that you take your prescription in any other way other than to follow the instructions. Your nurse can tell you quickly over the phone how to skip your period this month by taking the next pack of birth control pills.

If you are interested in skipping periods more frequently, there are lower-dose birth control pills that are designed with this in mind; you may ask for a prescription for a pill where you have fewer periods.

If you miss a pill, then just take it as soon as you remember.

You mentioned that this is your "first pack"...do you mean first pack ever? Since you missed pills in week 3, as long as you have been taking the other pills consistently and correctly, then missing a pill (and taking it as soon as you remember) is probably fine. The pill is about 99% effective at preventing pregnancy, and when you miss pills, this effectiveness rate decreases; it decreases most significantly when missing 3 or more pills in-a-row. If you miss a pill, be sure to use alternative form of contraception (condom) for 7 days to be protected.
