Hi Alison, my name is Kathryn. I always take my pill on time (Friday start) but missed Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon (4 Pills) of week 3 of my Aviane because I messed up and thought I was supposed to be starting the sugar pills so needless to say I was waiting for my period to show up. When it didn't come by Tuesday, I knew somthing was wrong and checked my pack only to notice that I still had the full 3rd week of Active pills to take. Here is my situation. I had sex with my boyfriend on Saturday night and then took emergency contraception on Wednesday (within 120 hours). I have been spotting (brownish and some pink) for the past 11 days..and now I'm not sure if it was a perod or if I'm just spotting or when my period is actually supposed to start..it's all so messed up. I know that using emregency contraception screws everything up but can you let me know what you think. I know that when you are on birth control you don't ovulate and I heard that you don't ovulate at least until 7 days after you missed or stopped the pill. Also, after the emergency contraception, I started a new pack immediately instead of skipping the sugar pills altogether..let me know
