Anytime you forget to take your pills and have sex you run the risk of unwanted pregnancy. If you read your insert that comes with your pills, it suggests using a backup method of birth control (condom, withdrawal, etc.) to provide a second level of protection in these cases. You may want to continue to use a backup method for the next seven days provided you take your pills as directed. If you find you are having difficulty remembering to take your pills, you may want to associate them with something you do every day at about the same time such as brushing your teeth, or going to bed.
