Diets don't work, maintaining a healthy eating regimen does. We shouldn't have to "diet," if we only learn how to consume fresh, whole foods rather than the packaged processed junk on the grocer's shelves - set right at eye level to seduce you!

I don't believe in deprivation, which is the basis for "dieting." I believe in my handful of dark chocolate kisses every day and the occasional fried chicken wing (comfort food, lol!). Moderation in anything never killed anyone, as far as I know.

Yep, you're right - who wants to live according to what's on the approved list? Yep, that would be torture.
