I am 20 years old and have had my Mirena in for 10 months now. My boyfriend and I have been together for three years and the past year we have sex maybe, just maybe, once a week. I never want to do it with him, ever. And when we do have sex, it takes me forever to get aroused, and during the act I don't really feel much sensation like I used to. The Mirena is great because I don't have to worry about getting pregnant and my periods are gone, so I should be having sex all the time! But nope... my boyfriend doesnt even ask me if I want to do it anymore cause he knows i'll say no. Thanks to this post I know I am not the only one. So, calling right now... getting it taken out. Enough is enough.
