I read somewhere that years ago, one in every 150 women had the string fall out. It's not a problem, you just will have to reach up and grasp the tampon with your fingers to pull it out, or if that is uncomfortable, you can call your doctor and figure out a way to have it removed by a medically trained expert. But, if you are like me and are freaking out about having to deal with talking to someone about your tampon usage, don't worry. Just always pull on the string before you put it in to test it and know that today, tampon companies put tons of research into making your tampon strings non-detatchable. They don't want any law suits.
