My doctor put me on nortriptyline for heat induced cluster migraine. I started out on 25mg and over time he increased the dose to 75mg. I was on that dose for 5 years and have been off the medication for 10+ years now and just this year the headaches started coming back. They are mild enough that getting into cool air, laying down and taking a nap and taking ibuprofen will kick it. Before taking nortriptyline I had cluster migraines every month for a solid week and more often in the summer since I was 13. I am now 41
