Be sure to advocate for yourself, and feel free to call your doctor's office to ask to speak to either the doctor or his N.P. about your specific questions that were not answered. You need to know what your doctor wants you to do for your next steps, and the nurse's station receives many calls from patients needing to follow-up after an appointment. Ask to speak with your doctor's nurse, or a N.P. in the office, who can (usually) take more time to answer your questions with your medical chart as a reference.
