Hi Melanie - This must be an incredible time for you, having confirmation of your diagnosis and suddenly facing surgery. I'm glad to know you trust your doctor so much, as well as his recommendation. I know it may be hard but please do what you can to remain calm and centered during this time. Consider taking a tape recorder or a friend with you when you meet with the surgeon as you will likely get a whole lot of new information in a short time.
