Hi Claudia,

I just read both of your questions, and as Susan and Michelle said, it is possible that you could be pregnant, but most women do not have pregnancy symptoms until they miss their period (they are considered 4-5 weeks pregnant, although they may only be 2-3 weeks pregnant...depending on when they ovulated). Some women do have sore breasts and are tired very early in their pregnancy; it is different for every women, as some women notice small changes that other women may not. You are in a difficult time right now, because you don't know if you are having actual symptoms, or if you are hoping you are having pregnancy symptoms...right?!

If you had your LMP on 4/22, and unprotected sex on 5/1, then that was day 10 of your cycle. It is possible that you ovulated on/around that day. Sperm can live up to 3 days inside of your body, and most women's most fertile days are between day 11-21 of their cycle ("day 1" is the first day of your last period, which would be 4/22 for you). You can look at an ovulation calendar to see when you are most likely to ovulate each month, but other more reliable methods are to check your basal temperature and/or track your cervical fluid each month.

Did you know that you have a 20% chance each cycle to become pregnant? Are you interested in learning how to increase your chances of becoming pregnant? Let us know, and I can send you some information! How long have you been actively trying to become pregnant?
