My sister did hers 3 years ago, she had a complete hysterectomy and went into menopause immediately after the procedure, unfortunately she did not do any research before she did it. I went in for the same procedure last year and the Doctors wanted to do a full hysterectomy, but because of what i learned from my sister i advised the surgeon that i wanted to keep one of my ovaries so he left me with one , thankfully i did not go into early menopause. I had my gallbladder out 2 years before my hysterectomy and i actually gained weight from the hysterectomy and not the gallbladder removal. My sister gained weight after she had her hysterectomy. I gained 15 pounds after i did my hysterectomy.
