Dear Anon, we get so many questions like yours and I wonder if you have had a chance to read those related links. I highly recommend you do.

Here are my two cents on your question: YES! Anyone having intercourse without protection has a greater chance of getting pregnant unless you have a reproductive system that is "bullet" proof. Sperm can live for a few days inside you. There are many factors not just your period cycle timing that determines pregnancy, it is also the "donor" of the sperm. If you DO NOT want to get pregnant I suggest using protection. Why live with fear? You can enjoy sex more fully just by making wise decisions about pregnancy prevention. On the other hand, if you are looking at getting pregnant, it is very possible you could be. But I suggest waiting a few days and see what happens. If you do get your period, better luck next time.

Both of my children were concieved when I was 100% sure I could not possibly be pregnant, go figure!
