I have metastic brease cancer which has invaded the bone, I have been on Zometa for 8 years. 7 years i received it monthly at Moffitt Cancer Center, this year we started a 2 month infusion. So far it is working, my concern is after all this time is there any serious effects. My doctor states there are no studies of people taking it for this long. I am also on a daily dose of aromasin which recently was changed from tamoxifen.
So far the aromasin is much better, not as much bone pain as the tamoxifen.
