Hi, AJCLynch, and welcome. Let's see what we can figure out.

One thing you didn't mention was how long your cycles usually are? Meaning, are they usually 26, 28 days long? Shorter? Longer?

I'm going to just assume it's 26, 28 or 30 days for the sake of this equation. With your period starting on 4-20, your most fertile days would have been around the following:

cycles normally 26 days long: 4/28 to 5/8
cycles normally 28 days long: 4/30 to 5/10
cycles normally 30 days long: 5/2 to 5/12

So yes, I think it's possible you could be pregnant. You could also just be late -- we have had lots of questions lately from women who are up to two weeks late on their cycles, and not all of them are pregnant. With the weather changing, people dieting and getting more activity, and the stress of spring/summer and the end of school, a lot of women's hormones are changing right now.

If you ARE pregnant, depending on when you took your first HPT, I would think that it would show up by now. If I were you, I'd probably wait a couple more days and take another HPT to see what the results were. If it is still negative, wait a few more days -- and if no period comes, perhaps call your doctor's office and speak to a nurse about whether you should go in for a pregnancy blood test. Sometimes the HPTs don't pick up on a low level of HCG (the pregnancy hormone) in the woman's blood until later.

Are you trying for a baby? How do you feel about the fact that you might be pregnant? Please come back and update us and let us know how you're doing.
