Hi Jackie,

Why do you think you may be pregnant? Did you have unprotected sex since your last period in April? If so, do you remember when?

How do you know the precise date of your expected period (28 days after LMP, last menstrual period). Are you taking birth control pills, or have you always had the "textbook" 28-day cycle? How long have you been tracking your periods?

If you have started bleeding today, it may be the beginning of your period. Four days late is nothing to worry about, unless you have other symptoms.

The other symptoms you mention, cramps for 3 weeks, is concerning. Can you describe this in more detail? Have they felt exactly like menstrual cramps, or could they have been intestinal cramping (gas)? Were they located on one or both sides, in your front, or back? Did anything relieve the cramps? Have you taken any new medications, changed your diet, started new exercise routine or have excess stress recently? How would you describe the pain, as far as severity? Did the cramps come-and-go, or were the continuous, day-and-night, for 3 weeks?

If you are still experiencing pain, please do not hesitate to call your doctor.
