Hi, Anon, and welcome to Empowher. Thanks so much for your question.

I'm not sure I understand everything you've said. Let me see if I have it correct:

You had a baby on March 24th.

Your first period after your baby began May 3rd, but you were still on your period when you had sex on May 16-17, and now it's May 28th and you're still on your period?

Are you saying that you've been on your period this entire month? That your bleeding hasn't stopped since May 3rd?

Please let me know if I have this correct. If I do, please call your doctor, and at least talk to her nurse. While it's common to have some bleeding or spotting after having a baby, you shouldn't have a period that lasts for a month.

And to answer your first question, no, I would doubt that you are pregnant with that much bleeding. But you should know that using withdrawal as your only form of birth control results in a 26% pregnancy rate. Since you began birth control on the 3rd, if you didn't miss any pills (is it pills that you started?) then you should be fine. But still, you should not still be bleeding after a month. Please call your doctor's office and see what they say, OK? And come back and let us know?
