I used the neti pot and i thought it was great! I have a lot of trouble with allergies and they can really clog my nose up a lot. Allergy medicines havent worked too well but this helps me a bit. Besides the basic salt water solution they have many other neti pot solutions out there depending on what condition your nose is in. You can put things like ginger and sesame oil in your homemade neti pot recipes to promote a different effect!
