Hi, edgehead, and so glad you were able to come back and update us. I didn't see your answers to my questions until just today, so I"m sorry it's been a little while since I've gotten back to you.

One of the biggest answers to your questions IS stress, like you suspect. Stress and emotion the way you have been feeling can absolutely affect your period. Stress affects our hormones, which are directly responsible for the timing of our periods.

I know the UK has national health care, but that you cannot always get in to see a doctor when you think you need to. Have you been able to see a doctor recently?

And did they tell you how long the wait for a counsellor might be? Have you checked back with them?
