What a fantastic story. You are also a phenomenal writer.

I completely agree with you about the Medias portrayal of body image. I seldom watch television, but in the grocery store, I always see these actresses that look sickly. Their skin and bones are noticeable on the cover pages and certainly in eye reach of young children to see and admire.

I have always respected Tyra Banks for being a fashion model but still reflecting on the fact that the ‘anorexic look’ wasn’t necessary to being beautiful. She is a fuller figured woman and has more beauty then most catwalk models I see such as Natasha Poly. When I think of a beautiful woman, I tend to think of women who have curves to include a healthy butt and breasts, not a fashion model. Fashion models, in my opinion, look as if they are in the Nazi Concentration Camps.

I read an article that I found again, where Spain was trying to ban skinny models from fashion shows which to me, deemed pertinent. You can read the full article here from CNN http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/09/13/spain.models/index.html.

I commend your efforts to pass along the body image message. You certainly have a voice and tone that sets the brain in motion. Thank you for your story and I, for one, would love to hear more in the future.
