We take far too much for granted in this country: indoor plumbing, air conditioning, our cars, our lifestyles, etc. I've lived in 3rd world countries where there were none of these amenities, except for the wealthy.
Body image is only scratching the surface of superficiality. There are far more important concerns in life. But, we're bombarded with the message that body beautiful is dependent upon the air-brushed cover shot.
Congratulations for being such a survivor and getting out to tell your story.
