Thank you ladies for your insight and compassion for one another in sharing your stories regarding your trials with fibroids. Having dealt with this condition for about 9 years(steadily noticing the fibroid pertruding) I am at an age (34) where I am ready to have children and realize this procedure is necessary. Through weight loss, fibroid shrinking tea, endless bottles of water and embarassing menstrual periods I started to think I was the only one going through the motions to try to avoid the inevitable surgery. I appreciate you all displaying a certain level of humility in sake of restoring our bodies in hopes of reproduction. I too am in the New York City area and looking for a specialist. I have already had 1st, 2nd and third opinions and they all seem to point in the direction of surgery as my best solution but it seems to be only a temporary fix. Please continue to share your information as I look forward to your feedback.
