So look at it this way -- it may be that your nose helps you find a husband who is more attracted to YOU than to a general idea of beauty. The most important thing is that it sounds like you are a little more comfortable with yourself now, and that makes me happy. And I'm very glad you talked to your family. Do it again if the teasing starts up again, and again and again if you have to. They need to know that you are sincere on this.
