Are you or a loved one dealing with skin cancer right now? Did you hear about iodine somewhere?
On the web I found a "Dr." Tullio Simoncini who is allegedly an oncologist in Rome. He believes that sodium bicarbonate and/or a 7% iodine mixture can help skin cancer lesions. However, I have no way to tell if he actually is a doctor or oncologist, and I am wary because there is a place to sign up for "newsletters and insider special offers" at the bottom of this website. Usually a doctor is not involved in sales. He is not published in any medical journals and I found no clinical trials of his theory. These are signs that you need to look elsewhere for medical advice.
The problem with skin cancer is this -- it's often not just a lesion on the skin. In some cases it is, and the doctors can catch it and surgically remove it. But skin cancer cells can travel througout the body and reappear elsewhere. You need a dermatologist to check out any spots you feel are suspicious, and if you are dealing with skin cancer, you need an oncologist who deals with skin cancer as a specialty.
Are there specifics about skin cancer that we can research for you? Are you undergoing treatment? Or do you have a spot on your skin that you are worried about?
