You will think I have totally lost my mind when I tell you about my new "discovery" to help improve my balance.

While at a running expo prior to my recent marathon, I caught a glimpse of a cool looking neoprene bracelet and stopped to ask what it was. It's called the Power Balance bracelet and it's based on electromagnetic energy. The company Rep was trying to explain to me, the die-hard skeptic, how it works and talked me into a demo.

There are several balance and strength tests that can be done, but we went through just a couple. There was a significant difference in my range of motion, and in my ability to stand on one foot without wobbling, with versus without the bracelet. My mom and daughter as witnesses, the darned thing works!

I have vertigo and, because I'm far-sighted, have trouble going down stairs. Wearing the bracelet has eliminated that, don't ask me how!

Now, balance exercises are part of my regimen, anyway, as a distance runner, as core strength, balance and flexibility are important to moving freely and staying injury free. But, I can do the ankle balance/strength exercise in the article you linked to much better while wearing my bracelet. It's just really, really weird how this little non-descript thing works, LOL!
