My mother also went thru a routine ERCP to remove a gall stone blocking the common bile duct. She coded and subsequently died during the procedure. She was an otherwise healthy 65 year old with no alcohol or tabacco history. The doctors say they do not know what went wrong. The death certificate states that she died of natural causes. This makes me so angry. There was nothing natural about her death. My condolences are with you and your family as well as mine. This procedure needs to be made safer!
