My reason for posting this information was to advise that a ERCP medical procedure is a highly dangerous and risky medical procedure and not to be entered into without due care and consideration. If my late wife had known the true medical risks she would never have gone through with this procedure for the removal of her gallstone. I guess if anything can be learnt from this tragedy...always get at least two medical opinions before you put yourself forward for any kind of medical procedure. Today most people would always get at least three quotes for work to be done in their house and check out the tradesman they wish to employ. Sadly too often we totally trust our doctor without thinking!!
