I was doing a bit of research when I came across your story. First of all I would like to pass on my condolences to you and your family. I understand what you are going through and how you nust be feeling. The reason for the research I was doing is we have to attend the inquest into my mother-in-laws death ( to be held in November). Carol was a fit and healthy 65 year old woman who rang us on Saturday evening (Feb 2nd 2008). she had chest pains so I rang an ambulance and my husband met her at her home. The brief summary is that she was diagnosed with gallstones, had an ERCP, ended up in intensive care as a result of a hole being made in her duodenum during the procedure. Carol died on May 3rd 2008. There is a lot more to the story than this brief description but I just wanted you to know there are more of us out here going through the same thing as you. Your wife should be with you and Carol should be here with us. I agree with you 100% that people should be informed that this procedure is not as safe as the hospital make it sound.I hope all goes well with your case against the hospital. Best wishes, Michelle
