Your input is gratefully appreciated. Interestingly, a while back, my primary doctor felt my skin and described it as feeling "waxy". Also, I previously consulted with an intuitive about the condition, and she told me it was related to excessive sebum secretion and couldn't understand why the dermatologists hadn't been able to address it.
However, I have "tested" my water on friends at their houses, and they feel the sticky from my water. Your information makes me wonder if I am reacting to something in the water that is somehow affecting my cortisol levels or my adrenals, resulting in the sticky-when-damp, waxy-build- up-when-dry skin. I've recently begun using a facial steamer using store water and my complexion problems aren't quite as bad.
Do you think there could be something in the water affecting my hormones???? What are your thoughts?
