Ok, I have this condition, too. Hands are the worst, but my face and neck are bad, too. Sometimes my skin burns terribly but I've been tested for every possible allergy. My dermatologist says I'm a "dermatological mystery" - no comfort there. He knows it isn't pscyholgical because he can feel the stickiness and sometimes my eyebrows look as though I've smeared hair gel on them. He says it could be unusually thick oiliness but he doesn't know why that would be. One doctor I saw for arthritis mentioned Sjogren's syndrome, but I'm not sure why. That illness usually causes dry skin. All I know is it is an awful feeling and seems worse when I am home. It doesn't happen as much when I am at work but it does on vacations. I've read that mold problems don't remediate just because you leave your house because the spores stay on clothes and other personal items but none of my docs seem to know about that. I know there are worse things, but it's a bit depressing to think there are no answers. Keep posting!
