I've had sticky skin from head to toe for months. My lips are stuck together like glue everyday and I'm trying different products (and also trying to eliminate soda) to see if I can get some relief! Never in my life have I had to deal with chronic yeast infections, noticible allergies to chemicals such as sodium benzoate, or known thyroid concerns until this year. I'm trying to find out if other people with 'sticky skin' are also dealing with other health issues to see if they are linked. If so, then we can narrow this down even further and say that the underlying cause of sticky skin could possibly be a yeast allergy or thyroid imbalance! I had bloodwork for my thyroid and it shows hypothyroidism, and my doctor is trying to figure out the right dose of Levothyroxine. It's known that if your body doesn't produce enough of the thyroid hormone, numerous symptoms can occur including: allergies, inability to fight off infections, a decrease in blood flow to your skin and poor circulation so you feel cold all the time. Yeast overgrowth can cause allergies as well. I'm currently trying various yeast creams and Nystatin oral powder to try to get some relief from this madness. If anyone else with sticky skin is experiencing any of these additional health problems, please let me know. Thank you!
