I can understand why you would be worried, but it's very possible that you're just late. If your last period came on August 12th, you are still just a few days late today. Since you say your periods are irregular, it makes me think that you're just having a particularly long cycle. But taking a pregnancy test might help ease your mind. Were you having unprotected sex during late August? That is most likely when you would have been ovulating (not as late as September 9).
