From your description of your history and symptoms, it sounds like you are estrogen dominant--people who have difficulty getting pregnant and/or maintaining a pregnancy usually have low progesterone levels in ratio to estrogen levels. Higher estrogen levels can also lead to weight gain. I suggest you see a physician who is familiar with hormone balancing and who does salivary hormone testing (try checking the ZRT Laboratory website for more information).
