Several years ago, I drove down to Florida to the Locks of Love office. I had two trash bags full of hair that people had donated but the beautician could not afford to mail. Anyway, they gave me a short tour of their facility. They were receiving huge amounts of hair every day and throwing most of it in the trash. The reason was that it was not correctly packaged and could not be used.
The Locks of Love people said that people needed to be more careful about packaging the hair that they donated, but I think they could do more to educate people about the process.
