I just donated my hair today (two braids of 12'' each). I went in initially of donating to 'Locks of Love' but the hair dresser told me about the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. Locks of Love will throw out your hair if it doesn't use it all, while Pantene will use it all. Additionally, Locks of Love sells the wigs and the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program donates all the wigs. BL uses all hair donations in some way and they never sell a donation for profit. Also their wigs go to women who are cancer patients/survivors.
However, the donation is free through the salon-there was a charge for the cut and style.
