you could be thinking too much, might have a work project which is causing him to put extra hours into it. Have you spoken to him about your feelings? If so and there hasn't been a change then perhaps he is seeing a work colleague and sleeping with her- only the last option I can think of. I mean, if his work is 3 hours away and he doesn't come home for the night then he has loads of time to be sleeping around. If he hasn't opened up to you then he's scared and doesn't want to hurt you.
