I would follow the directions exactly as they are provided next time, to ease any future worry.
And, if you decide to abruptly stop taking your birth control pills (even if you missed a few accidentally, you then decided to stop your prescription), then you'll also need to decide to also abruptly stop having unprotected sex.
Since you are starting a new pack of pills with your next cycle, consider this being your first time on the pill (as far as the hormones in your body), and follow the directions with your prescription-- use alternative form of birth control for the first 7-21 days of your new pack (whatever your specific pills say is the correct number of days for the hormones to be in your system to receive the full effectiveness rate).
