hi i am 54 and post menapausal. due to discomfort of pelvic area i sought out my primary. she ordered transvaginal ultra sound. result showed endometiral hyerplasia and a cyst in my left ovary. i'm also going thru a flare up of fibromyalgia and occassional issues with an arachnoid cyst at the base of my brain. until recently i'v been ok but now with the hyperplasia, i am battling to get thru the day. my primary explained that to be on the safe side she wanted me to see an gyn who in turn explained after viewing results of utlrasound, that she didn't believe i was in any danger unless i began to bleed and then she'd do a d and c. it was reassuring to have her explain that the lining wasn't thick enough in her opinion to warrant a biopsy but she is puzzled as to why i'm so uncomfortable. she said to begin lots of kiegal exersizes daily and wants me back in two weeks. i did some research on hyperplasia online but now i am puzzled. near as i can make out, hyperplasia can be a precursor to precancerous cells. how proactive should i be. the gyno left the choice up to me. did i want a biopsy now or was i willing to wait a bit citing risks with having one done. so in the meantime my body for lack of progesterone is trying to have a period but can't, cramps, and the estrogen runamock is causing the hyperplasia with out progesterone to balance the 2 hormones out. i would appreciate some feed back.
