aoifebyrne,

We all have hair all over our bodies, and as you said your hair is darker, it is more noticeable. Do you feel like you have excess hair growth on your chest, or is it just a few strands or a little patch of peach-fuzz type hair?

Just to rule out a medical condition, there is something called, "Hirsutism" that is excess hair growth in women (and children). This can be hormone-related, and is treatable.

If you have just the regular amount of hair that all women have on their chest, but are concerned about it because it is darker in color, you can try some of these hair-removal methods:
* Shaving
* Chemical treatment (depilatories)
* Waxing
* Electrolysis
* Laser treatment
* Bleaching

There is a reason that the hair-removal industry is a multi-million dollar business, as women have been told repeatedly that our skin should be smooth, hair-less, with no wrinkles, no blemishes...even no pores! Try to enjoy your skin, hair and flaws and all. Try some home hair-removal remedies, and if you are still uncomfortable, you can seek the treatment of hair-removal at a reputable salon...just do it for yourself and not someone else!
