Having raised three children, myself, I know how difficult it can be to "read" your teen. Nonetheless, parents need to learn to recognize warning signs in behavioral and attitude changes, the teen's friends, and so on. Communication is key - and that doesn't mean preaching at or pressuring your child to talk to you. Sometimes, just listening and paying attention can go a lot further than talking.
