What bothers me about your story is that you're not communicating with your partner and simply leaving things up to him. Frankly, that creeps me out because I would never want to feel manipulated by my partner.
A book that has been around for decades is, "The Joy of Sex." Regardless how archaic some folks might think it is, the whole point of the book is to get BOTH partners engaged, and to teach you how to be lovingly adventurous in a safe, non-threatening manner.
