I have the same thing and figured out what was causing it for me - nailpolish!!! If you have these symptoms, go take your nail polish off and see if your eyes return to normal in a few days; the itchiness will go away soon after. The toxic chemicals in nail polish are introduced to your eyes when you touch them, wash your face, etc. You don't realize the allergy because the skin on your hands is much tougher, but the sensitive skin on your eyelids react almost immediately! It doesn't seem to be all nailpolishes, but I urge you to start keeping track of which polishes and treatments lead to your reaction.
