Hi, my name is Dawn. My last period started around March 30 or April 1, I don't remember exactly. I know we moved on April 3 and I was on my period. I had been using Nuvaring but my prescription expired like in January and I haven't scheduled an appointment for my exam yet to get it renewed. On April 18 my husband's spermicidal condom leaked, so we went right away to get Plan B one step. I took the pill within about an hour. About a week later I started bleeding, not as heavy or long as a normal period but it was as heavy and long as the periods I would have when using Nuvaring. I checked the side effects of Plan B and saw it can effect your period. Also, I didn't have any PMS symptoms before bleeding (tender breasts, bloating, etc.) which I normally have before a normal period, although on the other hand, I didn't experience PMS symptoms when I was using Nuvaring either. Today I took a Pregnancy test and it was negative (3 and 1/2 weeks after taking Plan B). Is it possible that the pregnancy test could be wrong? Am I safe in believing I'm not pregnant, so I can stop worrying about it?
