Hi Anon - Thanks for the update on your son, and for letting us know why you've made the decisions you've made. It's good to k now that he has full movement and is out of pain, but I agree that it's sad that both you and he have been through all this only to end up with his arm still curved.

When I was a little girl one of my fingers was hit hard with a volleyball. The doctors gave my parents a choice of having it heal in a crooked manner, or breaking the bone and having surgery/recovery to repair it. They decided not to put me through the trauma of surgery and I've had a curved pinky on my right hand pretty much my entire life. It has never hurt, and I only remember that it actually is that way every once in a while, like right now. I hope your son also grows up with no problems and appreciates that you spared him additional trauma.
