These are often pretty common and the burning sensation you feel is often attributed to it. Our vaginal areas carry bacteria and if there is a slight adjustment to that bacteria, this will cause an infection. You can try over the counter Monistat (or generic brand) to deal with this issue.
You can also eat yogurt to help balance the yeast in your body as well. I hope this helps. Do not be afraid as these are very common although they are certainly uncomfortable.
