I am allergic to eggs so never had an flu shots.I have had too many shots, due to Immunology Shots (5 times).Plus a lot of shots & IV's due to some major medical problems. This last ED visit (April),my potassium was extremely high.A nurse gave me an injection to bring it down. The tube/syringe (2"x6" ) was used for the medicine to fix the potassium. It started to hurt within a few seconds after the nurse started it.It got worse as she kept giving the injection.I know there was a lot of fluid I needed,in the shot.Yet she did it very quickly.Less than 2 minutes.I told her my arm hurt really bad.But she just walked off. After they put me in the hospital for 3 1/2 weeks, with more IV's & blood draws. The pain never went away. The nurses were doing all they could think of.Hot packs helped a little.Due to kidney problems on top of heart surgery,I can't take anything for pain.I did try Aspirin, but they told me I couldn't take it often. It started in the beginning of April and still hurts no matter what I have tried.Heat packs, massages,I had PT after my hospital stay ( 3 1/2 weeks).I told every doctor, nurse & the PT about the pain.I am now having Visiting Nurses come in.I have told them about it too, along with my PC & the specialists I saw the other day.No one seems to know what to do about it.They do understand how it happened.I even called the ED a couple of weeks after getting home. They couldn't tell me what to do expect call my PC.I am right handed & that's the shoulder that hurts.I can't lift it up or over my head,so hard to try to get shirts on & off. When I try to use it,there is a sharp shooting pain.I can't sleep on my right side,I can't use it to push myself out of bed.The sharp pain goes down to my fingers too.I wish I could find a way to get through this & be back to normal. Can anyone help ??
