I have exactly the same symptoms you describe except the pain does not radiate to my fingers. My flu shot was at Target in the beginning of November 2014. I made sure to use my arm a lot and in the first few days it felt like it normally does after a flu shot. But then it hurt more, and now it hurts whenever I get dressed (putting my arms above my head, reaching back to put a coat on, trying to put lotion on my back) and when I sleep on it. My physical therapist said it is nerve damage as they hit my axillary nerve. She said it will hopefully go away, but that was a few weeks ago. She told me to stretch it a couple of times a day by grabbing the back of my opposite shoulder from the front (like a one arm hug) 30 seconds a few times a day. It is not improving so I will see my doctor next week. I also have significant weakness in that arm that I only really notice in my fitness class.
