Thank you for your question! Good Nutrition and health are a great place to start for both of you. In your case, I would also start taking prenatal vitamins, which are absolutely essential during and prior to even conceiving to be in an optimum state.

Make sure you are up to date with all of your vaccines. Certain illnesses, such as rubella, can cause birth defects in a baby. To eliminate the unnecessary stress, being up to date with vaccines is a great idea.

Any prescription or OTC meds should be run through your OB/GYN to make sure that they are safe to continue taking.

And the last way to prepare your body? Get the timing right! If you know when you ovulate then this is a great thing but for those who don't, there are ovulation prediction tests that can help.
