No, there wouldn't be a chance for pregnancy if you have not had sex after your last menstrual period. Kudos for having protected safer sex, also!

Your cycle can be irregular, and is nothing to be concerned about. Some women can have extremely long cycles (35 days between periods), and you are still within the range of what is considered "normal". Also, what is normal: a missed period. If you have two or more missed periods in a row (and there is no chance of pregnancy), then you can call your doctor, but one missed period can be normal when you are going through major life changes (starting college is one of them!).
