OK - I have read everyone's comments. I had a hysterectomy at 52 and at 1yr and 2mos. I started menopause with a fiery. I am on my 3rd bottle of Menoquil and at first I thought it was helping. I take 2 pills at bedtime. My OBGyn also prescribed me an antidepressant and I took 1 pill and had a massive rash the next morning and felt like I had drank a gallon of coffee. The coffee feeling lasted about 3 days and the rash took 2 wks to go away. But it stopped the hot flashes in their tracks. But then I found the menoquil ordered some and like I said thought it was helping but now the hot flashes (night sweats) are back with a lot of sleep deprivation. Some hot flashes occurring during the day but not too bad yet. I refuse to try the antidepressants again and my Dr. doesn't want to put me on hormones which I am ok with. Maybe I need to increase my dosage of Menoquil, I think I can do 2 doses of 2 pills a day. The tea pills don't seem to make any difference. I think I may need to start a multivitamin too but dang I am tired of all this hot flash and not sleeping crap. As far as weight loss the menoquil did nothing for that, and I am sure I am slowly gaining since the menopause symptoms started about a year ago. So it is a crap shoot you just have to try something and if it works great if not move on and try something else. If all else fails go with the prescriptions or suffer.
